Evaluation International (EI) operates an annual Instrument Evaluation Programme on behalf of its members. The resulting Evaluation Reports are normally available to members only but a certain number of Surveys and Selection Guides are available as reports for sale to non-members. The instruments currently or recently evaluated for EI members by independent test houses include:

EI members also receive reports published by EXERA in France and WIB in the Netherlands and have access to an electronic library of over 1,500 technical reports. Now could be a very good time for your organisation to become a member of Evaluation International!

The EI members meet six monthly to set up the evaluation programme in March and to review the programme in October. The October 2011 Technical panel meeting was hosted by Sira Certification in Chester. The next meeting is to be held on 29 March 2012 at the National Measurement Office (NMO), Teddington. Representatives of non-member instrument user companies are welcome to attend this meeting as observers. EI will be able to offer its members reduced price attendance at a spring 2012 NMO training course on Measurement Uncertainty. EI is also supporting a conference on Energy & Low Carbon Technologies to be held in London on 18-19 September 2012. Conference sessions will include ‘Advances in Technology & Instrumentation’ and ‘Applied Measurement & Metrology.’ Again, discounted attendance fees will be available to EI members.
